Being Agile Even When Your Organization’s Not
Sharon Burke
How do you introduce agile into an environment for whom this is completely foreign?  How do you personally work in an agile methodology if the organization doesn’t have the tools and processes in place to support you?  During this talk, we’ll talk about how to introduce agile methodologies in baby steps to organizations that don’t even know they need it.

Artificial Intelligence for Project Management: Hero or Villain?
Paul Boudreau, Algonquin College

AI will disrupt our project management methodology and no one really understands if this wave of new technology will be beneficial or detrimental.  This presentation starts with a brief review of the current myths and misconceptions about using artificial intelligence for project management.  Next, is a thought-provoking preview of the machine learning tools being developed by my research team.  These new tools will either scare you or excite you (or perhaps both).  Regardless, being knowledgeable about AI is the only option for successful implementation.

The Strategic Mindset – For Your Organization, Your Career and Your Life
David Barrett
Strategic planning is now a part of the PMI’s Talent Triangle – now identified as a critical component to our current and future roles.   However, reading and hearing is one thing but how many of us are in a position to practice strategic planning and execution?  ALL OF US.  This session will show us how strategic planning is a key to our success at work but, as well, to our careers and our lives.   We will learn how to create a solid plan for any of the three legs and we will leave with the start to our own Professional Strategic Plans.
